Note for beta participants
Unless you have received an e-mail containing instructions for testing Online Backup, please do not attempt to activate Windows Live OneCare Online Backup at this time. You will receive information regarding Online Backup at the end of the beta period.

To activate OneCare Online Backup

  1. If you have received an e-mail containing a product key and instructions for activating Online Backup (see above note), click Start now.
  2. Follow the steps to set up your account and activate Windows Live OneCare Online Backup on your computer.

Important things to know before you begin
Before you activate, make sure that your Internet browser is correctly configured for your language and country. To check this setting in Internet Explorer, click Tools and then click Internet Options. On the General tab, click the Languages button. Make sure that your current language is at the top of the languages list.
